Supporting Individuals with Autism in Employment

This training includes topics such as; understanding the characteristics of autism and best practices to be implemented in the work place. There will also be a panel discussion to discuss a local success story of an individual with autism and significant disabilities who resided in an institution for much of his life and worked in a sheltered workshop for almost 20 years. Panelists will discuss the transition from Sheltered Employment to Individual Employment and how this individual is now gainfully employed and living in his community.
