The Autism Society of Washington continues to provide lawmakers with information about autism and the effects of it on families, health care, schools, and the community. We requested that Governor Locke declare April 2004 as Autism Awareness Month in Washington State. We also asked the Senate and the House of Representatives to issue official Resolutions supporting April as autism Awareness Month. Governor Locke's Proclamation, Senate Resolution 8704, and House Resolution 4687 are below. Please feel free to copy them and distribute to your community to help promote Autism Awareness. Questions? Call the ASW office at (253) 223-8885.
