We are starting up new Autism Society of Washington Chapters!

Help Us Bring Autism Society of Washington to Your Community

We are looking to start new Autism Society of Washington chapters across Washington State!

Washington is a big state, and we know that Autistic people, families, caregivers, and allies need connection and support in their own communities.

We are working to grow local chapters and community-based groups so people don't have to travel across the state to find community, resources, activities, and support.

A chapter can look different in every community. It could include:

Local Coffee Clubs or meetups

Parent and caregiver connection groups

Sensory-friendly activities and movie events

Social and recreation opportunities

Support and connection for Autistic adults

Resource sharing and community education

Local advocacy and awareness

Connecting people with other organizations and services in their area

You don't have to have everything figured out. We are looking for people who know their community, care about making a difference, and want to help build something locally.

Chapters are part of the Autism Society of Washington, so you won't be doing this alone. We provide support, guidance, resources, and connection with others across Washington while the local chapter helps determine what its community needs most.

We are especially interested in hearing from Autistic people, parents and caregivers, professionals, and community members who would like to help build a stronger local Autism community.

Let's build local connection, community, and support together.

We are a proudly Autistic-led and neuro-affirming organization, and a dedicated affiliate of the Autism Society of America. We support Autistics and their communities across Washington State through advocacy, education, allyship, and inclusive connection. Operated by a volunteer board, we strive to create a more accepting and informed world.
